The best family friendly beaches in North Cornwall![]() A wide sandy beach that looks out across the Doom Bar in the Camel Estuary to Hawkers Cove and Harbour Cove, Padstow and the sea. ![]() Just northwest of Padstow, Harbour Cove gives the visitor a quieter interlude after the summer crush in the town. ![]() Situated on the eastern, sheltered side of Trevose Head, Harlyn Bay is a large crescent shaped beach with a good expanse of sand at low tide. ![]() Hawker's Cove is flanked to the north by Stepper Point and to the south by Gun Point, with its Napoleonic fortifications. ![]() Lundy Bay has quite a small beach of sand and rocks. ![]() Mawgan Porth is a large west facing beach situated mid-way between the larger resorts of Watergate Bay and Bedruthan Steps. ![]() Polventon Beach at Mother Ivey's Bay lies on the northern side of Trevose Head. ![]() Hayle Bay, Polzeath is a very popular surfing beach due to its west facing aspect. ![]() Pentireglaze Haven lies at the northern edge of Hayle Bay, Polzeath behind Slipper Point and at low tide it connects to its larger neighbour. ![]() Porthcothan is a west facing triangular-shaped sandy beach set in a cleft in the rocks just north of Park Head and Bedruthan Steps. ![]() A wide sandy beach that looks out across the Doom Bar in the Camel Estuary to Padstow. ![]() Quite a narrow northwest facing beach with dark golden sand, Trevone is best known for its menacing Round Hole on its eastern flank. ![]() The beach extends for two miles north to Stem Point. |
