Granted a Blue Flag Award for 2015, Trevone is a northwest facing sandy beach situated midway between Padstow and Trevose Head on the North Cornwall coast. Consisting of dark golden sand interspersed with rocks, Trevone is best known for its menacing Round Hole (collapsed sea cave) on its eastern flank. The beach can be quite popular in high season due to its proximity to Padstow, but with at least six other beaches in the immediate region there should be room enough for everyone.
Trevone is a favourite with surfers as well as families and just west of Trevone lies Rocky Beach with its expanse of flat rock and tidal pool. There are gentle walks along the coast of Newtrain Bay west towards Harlyn Bay or slightly more taxing walks northeast to Gunver Head and Stepper Point.
Parking is available in the large field behind the beach and also a smaller car park by the beach shop. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards in the summer, and bathing is safe when so advised. There is a seasonal dog ban from Easter Day to October 1st.
