Porthloe Cottage is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking heathland of purple heather across to the Isles of Scilly Isles. This area is a favorite for bird watchers and for spotting natural wild life, seals being frequent visitors to the cove. The cottage is located adjoining a narrow lane leading down to the picturesque small sandy cove of Porthgwarra where from Easter to October you can enjoy delicious local pasties and home made cakes at the small teashop The cove retains its slipway and local fishing boats are still launched there. The surrounding coastline is rugged with superb coastal paths linking Porthgwarra's cove with the sandy beaches of Porth Chapel, Porthcurno and the renowned cliff-top Minack Theatre. In the opposite direction you can walk one of the most beautiful coastal paths in the country (as described in BBC's programme COAST) to the sandy beach of Nanjizal passing Carn Les Boel (the start of the St Michaels Ley Line) and on to Lands End and Sennen Cove.

Porthloe is a perfect haven for those seeking seclusion, sea views, soaring cliffs, bird watching, rock climbing & walking. It is light,warm & airy with enchanting sea views from all upstairs windows. The open plan living room is the heart of the house with double aspect windows overlooking open countryside. It has a log burning stove with a supply of logs for the first evening. It has a small CD/Cassette player, LCD HD TV, Broadband, a Scrabble board, books and maps of local areas, a BT telephone, DVD player/recorder. The kitchen is stocked with utensils,tea towels and cookery books. It has the advantage of modern cooking with ceramic hob, electric double oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave. A walk in pantry with work top, ample shelving for food, & a window to fields outside. Cupboards underneath the worktop house the vacuum cleaner. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms with sea views. A family bathroom with bath and shower attachment over taps.

Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed. Large wardrobe/drawers. Bedroom 2 with double bed, TV. Country and sea views. Bedroom 3 with modern sofa bed. Sea views over beautiful heathland towards the Isles of Scilly. 1 of the 2 seater lounge sofas converts to a double bed. Bathrooms: Family bathroom consisting of white bath, with shower attachment, WC, and wash hand basin and mirror. Alcoves and large window sill space for guests toiletries. Central heating radiator. Bathroom scales. Sea views over heathland towards the Isles of Scilly.
