The Mines of Gwennap - Wheal DaniellOS Explorer Map 104: Grid reference SW747449 Wheal Daniell lies in Kenwyn Parish about half a mile northwest of Chacewater and about 400 yards east of Great Wheal Busy. It is thought that the lodes it developed were actually a continuation of the lodes of its neighbour.
The sett was worked from four main shafts namely, Edwards' Shaft, Horse Engine Shaft, Uren's Shaft and Engine Shaft. The mine produced tin and copper but the only recorded output is 15 tons of ochre and some lead ore in 1872. The mine was abandoned in 1873.
