Wendron Mining District - Wheal Prospidnick

A former tin mine situated two and a half miles northeast of Breage in Sithney parish and adjoining North Prospidnick tin mine. Lying just to the southeast of Nancegollan, the mine worked three lodes - Wilson's Lode from Flat Rod Shaft and Wilson's Shaft, Jewell's Lode and Watson's Lode from Engine Shaft, but the lodes were described as 'poor'.

The mine was managed by Chief Agent Philip Rogers in 1860 and Richard Kendall in 1861-62, whilst the Secretary between 1860 and 1865 was John Watson. The mine produced 25 tons of tin between 1861 and 1862, worth £1,840. There was also traces of wolfram with the tin. The mine was suspended between 1863 and 1865.
