Welcome to Cornwall in Focus

South West Coast Path

I wanted to share my love of Cornwall with as many people as possible. This comprehensive website explores the unique land of Cornwall in the far southwest of the United Kingdom. To this end over 500 pages cover every aspect of Cornwall.

Learn all about Cornwall's Celtic Culture and Ancient History along with the ancient Cornish Language. There are pages dedicated to the many Megaliths and Stone Circles at Ancient Sites as well as links to Cornish Folklore at Myths and Legends.

Explore the spectacular scenery of the Cornish Coast and golden beaches with a section dedicated to walking the 296 miles of the Cornish Coastal Footpath. Detailed descriptions accompanied by well over a thousand digital photographs guide the enthusiast and the casual walker around the Cornish coast. Care has been taken to make the walks 'easily walkable' many with inland returns for added variety. Each description marks suggested car parking and suitable 'entry' and 'exit' points to the coast.

Former industries such as Fishing and Mining have now been superceded by Tourism as the main revenue earner for the county. Cornwall in Focus is currently building up a Mining Database to reflect the lasting legacy of all those who were part of Cornwall's heritage. Check out Where to Go for my favourite destinations and Local Events. Explore the 160 or so Cornish Beaches and the Photo Gallery pages. Visit and breathe in the beauty of the many Cornish Gardens. Stay in Quality Hotels, guest houses or selected bed and breakfast accommodation.

There are links to Cornish Family History as well as Surf Forecasts and Surf Schools as well as the official Cornwall Tourist Board and Cornwall County Council.

What is it about Cornwall that makes it somewhere different? Is it the slower pace of life or the 'do it dreckly' attitude? It is so much more than just a Holiday destination. Have I whetted your appetite? - plan your Accommodation here.
