Eating Out around Cornwall
Cornwall has always been known as a land of rugged cliffs and windswept moors... Over recent years it has also gained a reputation for producing excellent fresh food, now available from a host of farmers markets, lovingly prepared for your delictation by a growing number of highly skilled chefs. There are now several award winning restaurants dotted around the county to try. Celebrities visit Cornwall for its spectacular scenery and slower pace of living. Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay continues to set the bench mark with Jamie following the trend set by Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at nearby Padstow.

The New Yard Restaurant. We try to have the kind of restaurant that we like to eat in ourselves; informal service, good food and good wine. And how do we go about that? Well 90% of the chef's ingredients are sourced locally (supporting our traditional agricultural economy, minimising food miles, ensuring absolute freshness). And just about everything, including the bread, is freshly made on site. We have clams from the Helford River; fish and shellfish caught by local dayboats; game, fruit and herbs from the Trelowarren Estate; meat and poultry from local suppliers; seasonal vegetables. In short: Good food, good wine, informal service. Tel. 01326 221595Nearby accommodation and other attractions
