Eating Out around Cornwall
Cornwall has always been known as a land of rugged cliffs and windswept moors... Over recent years it has also gained a reputation for producing excellent fresh food, now available from a host of farmers markets, lovingly prepared for your delictation by a growing number of highly skilled chefs. There are now several award winning restaurants dotted around the county to try. Celebrities visit Cornwall for its spectacular scenery and slower pace of living. Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay continues to set the bench mark with Jamie following the trend set by Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at nearby Padstow.

Harveys Bar & Grill. Harvey's has always attracted locals in Launceston and under the ownership of Justin Ford and Lisa Trott, the bar still rocks. The downstairs dining room has changed, but the biggest adjustment seems to be in the food area. The menu is smaller with fresh dishes like Lamb Shank with Garlic Mash and red wine jus the order of the day. A large ever changing specials board is full of tasty home made dishes served with flair. Lunches are popular with local workers who enjoy a jacket potato or a salad or just a well made sarnie. With new chefs the food is moving up a notch with fresh ingredients and a small regular changing menu. The dining area has been reinvigorated, one of Launceston's best venues. 13 Church Street Tel 01566 772558Nearby accommodation and other attractions
