Flying Boat Club, Tresco. Royal Naval Air Station Tresco's UK flying-boats flew against German submarines in the Western Approaches from 1916-18 in the Great War. Today the waterfront site of the old Air Station is home to Tresco's stylish new Flying Boat Club. Rent one of the 12 beachfront houses and you'll be a member of the boating holiday club with its restaurant and bar.
