Eating in Cornwall - Raval's Restaurant

   Having often sat at the traffic lights in Camelford gazing at Ravals and wondering what it was like, a recent birthday offered Cornwall in Focus the ideal opportunity to find out. We weren't disappointed. The welcome was warm and genuine; the staff unobtrusively attentive; the decor was simple, relaxed and the furnishings all very comfortable. Our room was warm and clean with a well lit bathroom en suite and plenty of lovely hot water. We booked a table in the restaurant for dinner and placed our order while enjoying a relaxing drink on the sofa in the bar. The restaurant was quite busy, surely a good sign, and our meal was excellent. Served piping hot and prepared from fresh and tasty ingredients, complemented by the varied quality wines on offer. A night cap in the relaxed ambience of that bar sofa and up the stairs to a restful night. Breakfast served at the time we chose the following morning was a pleasure to behold laid out on the simple sunny table in the bar.

Will Cornwall in Focus go again? We are already booked in April, but unfortunately not for the night we wanted - Ravals was already full !
