What is Cornwall in Focus?

The idea that was to become Cornwall in Focus was born in late 1998. The aim was to produce a website dedicated to Cornwall, a cross between a digital scrapbook and a Cornish encyclopaedia covering 'All things Cornish'.

Who are we?

A small dedicated team of Cornish enthusiasts covering all aspects from the Isles of Scilly to the River Tamar. Get the inside information from your own personal guides. Locate that secluded beach, explore the distant past or find the perfect Cornish getaway. In our eyes it pays to be local.

Our objective

Our objective is clear - to promote Cornwall to the outside world.

What do we offer?

From humble beginnings, Cornwall in Focus has grown over the years, from a handful of pages into the vast repository of knowledge it is today. There are now well in excess of 1200 pages with distinct sections dedicated to every aspect of life in the Duchy:

• Plan your visit to Cornwall with detailed information from expert guides.
• Walk the Cornwall coast path from the safety of your armchair.
• Locate the best beaches and those secluded coves that so many overlook.
• Stay with us in country cottages, elegant hotels, holiday parks or get back to basics with your tent.
• Treat your taste buds at our pick of quality restaurants and country inns.
• Events – Get your message across. Aware of an event we don't have listed? Let us know and we'll add it.

Where next?

Plans for the future include the expansion of our translation service in partnership with maga – the Cornish Language Partnership and also the inclusion of high definition video and audio clips into the website to give users a fully integrated experience. We have also branched out into the other three counties of the South West. Bowing to public opinion we can now offer you Devon, Dorset and Somerset - all in Focus!
