Gwithian village, Cornwall
Gwithian is a village located to the east side of St Ives Bay. To the east of the village lies the dunes of Gwithian Towans.
The present church dates from the 15th century and lies on the site of a 5th century church dedicated to Ste Gwithien. Chesten Marchant, who died here in 1676, is thought to have been the last person to have spoken only the Cornish Language.
