Little more than a hamlet, the village of Mawnan lies on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula and on the northern bank of the Helford River.
The picturesque church is almost hidden amongst the trees but is well worth a visit. There are excellent walks along the coast path here. Head west to Durgan and Trebah, or walk north over Rosemullion Head to Maenporth and ultimately Falmouth.
