Three miles east of Polruan lie the small beaches and coves of Lantivet Bay. The best beach of the group of coves is at Palace Cove. Cliff walking and access to the beaches can be steep for the unwary. The more casual visitor would be better served by walking a few hundred metres further east to the far larger and more accessible Lansallos Cove.
