Helford Passage is a narrow strip of patchy sand and fine shingle situated on the northern shore of the pictureque Helford River. Visitors pass through Helford passage on their way east exploring the coast around Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan although only the latter is accessible from the coast path itself. All the beaches along the river are typical river beaches comprising of angular slaty shingle and patchy shell sand. There are excellent facilites behind the beach including opportunities to hire water craft by the hour or by the day. Have you tried a snack in the Ferryboat Inn? There is a possibly less crowded beach just east of Durgan at Grebe Beach.
